The new CEO wandered around the office. He was handing out a card to every associate. On it, it says,

“This card entitles the bearer to take a calculated risk. I want you to go out on a limb and try something that isn’t safe or easy. Make it a small test of the idea, something that you can learn from, but that stretches our company in a new direction.”

Risks and 2019

What are the chances you’ll take in 2019 to change your approach to growing your brand? What experiments will you run, what prototyping will you do and how will you challenge the essence of what everyone else does in your category?

Culture eats strategy for lunch said, Peter Drucker many years ago. It is still true.

If you want to change the culture, so associates are empowered to take smart, calculated risks, give them license to do it. A card is a physical representation of how you shift the culture to go out on a limb.

What risk cards will you hand out in 2019?
