You do not need a crystal ball to see the canceled events like tradeshows, sports events, and concerts in every location through America. It will be a long time before these crowded activities return. Think about who is affected by this shift?

Well, for one – my friends Danny and Robert, who co-own Brand Fuel, a promotional product or branded premium business, are faced with this challenge. They often are supplying companies with branded swag distributed at these venues.

Fortunately, they are agile business guys who started to work with existing clients on how to make their stay-at-home employees feel some love. They recognized the need to shift into a different gear and focus on bringing products to clients wrapped in love.

Putting Love First

Through their suggestion, one of Danny and Robert’s clients decided to send a warm, comfy blanket to their employees to send some love to their home addresses. Typically, this client would have spent this money on a trade show but instead, decided they should let their associates know how they feel about them.

The Brand Fuel team is quite good at exercising their compassion muscle.

A Pivot toward Love

Every business will need to start running through scenarios that ask how their customers can use their services and products when we get freed from our quarantine. What changes and shifts?

The critical question to ask is how you make people (customers, clients, partners, shareholders, members, employees) feel.

Focus on feelings, not selling or marketing. That is an effective way to support your team or your customer’s team, while we all recover from the Covid shock.

What can you give them or do for them, that brings joy and happiness?

It seems like the Brand Fuel team is now in the business of sending love wrapped up in promotional branded products.

“Home” is a fairly new working domain for many. The Brand Fuel folks are coaching clients on how to show love to employees and clients in this often unfamiliar and uncomfortable working environment.

How will you blanket your customers in love?
