Here is a small idea I love—a supermarket of small brands for home delivery.
Imagine dedicating a business to up and coming food brands. No big guys allowed. Just focus on new products from foodpreneurs.
In the UK, Mighty Small has started an online supermarket to give shoppers a contactless home drink and food service to support entrepreneurs. Theadora Alexader is one of the founders and describes Might Small as a lifeline for small food and beverage brands during Covid-19.
The Might Small website is a discovery destination that gives struggling small companies a chance to get their products sampled in homes and a way to support entrepreneurs caught in the challenges of today’s consumer.
Mighty Small came about as small food brands decided if they could work collaboratively instead of as competitors, they might be able to join forces to help one another.
Founded by Theadora Alexand and Chris Green, they started Young Foodies, a consultancy providing advice to challenger startups to provide empowerment to their missions. She is the former operations and strategy director at a gourmet popcorn brand called Propercorn. And Chris was at Ella’s Kitchen before he worked at Metcalfe’s popcorn.
The Marketing Genius Idea
When a consultancy becomes an advocate for the people they want to serve, magic happens. By supporting the very people they seek to advise, the relationships can only flourish.
Can your brand create something of value for the people you are selling so they see you as a partner, not a supplier or vendor or advisor?
