Let me take a moment of gratitude to thank the unsung heroes in our lives these days. Thank you.

Thank you to the medical community who bravely treat the sick and care for the dying. I’m in awe of the healthcare worker’s selflessness. Whether it is the nurses, doctors, PA’s, administrative, or support personnel, you are the heroes we need in these trying times.

Many workers show up at the post office, the grocery store, or even the UPS/FedEx or Amazon drivers bringing goods to our front door.

I see the grace and dignity in the simple gestures of kindness and in the critical work that supports our daily lives. Thank you, police and fireman and EMT workers still show up each day.

Namaste and thank you to the truck drivers bringing produce and goods to the grocery stores.

Gracias to the sanitation workers is still picking up our trash and recyclables each week.

In Gratitude

We are all doing our best to keep our sanity and take care of the essentials of daily living.

I’m so appreciative of all the helpers and kind people who emerge.

Merci to my neighbor, who wanted to know if I need anything from the store.

Shalom to my Mom’s next-door neighbor who brought her some banana bread to brighten up her day.

Thank you to the children who were waving from their windows when I take a brief walk outside in my neighborhood.

And Grazie to my Italian friends checking up on me.

I like to remind myself that this too shall pass. And it will.

It helps to feel sincere gratitude and to acknowledge the grace and loving-kindness that surrounds us.

Thank you for reading my blog posts and allowing me to be part of your journey.
